However, factors such as shortage of labor, lack of talents, lack of public platform, rising raw material prices, irrational industrial structure, and inadequate technological innovation are also more and more obvious obstacles to the development of Wenzhou footwear industry, making Wenzhou footwear enterprises move forward more and more heavily. Therefore, Wenzhou shoe industry must redefine its brilliant achievements in order to solve the following six problems.


First, the labor tension is unprecedented


Due to the gradual weakness of the demographic dividend and the rise of the central and western regions, the new generation of migrant workers' consciousness has changed. A new round of labor shortage has once again attacked the footwear industry in Wenzhou.

According to incomplete statistics, the employment gap of footwear industry in Wenzhou exceeds 30 thousand.

At the end of 2010, the total number of employment demand registered by the employment and guidance service center of Wenzhou labor and Social Security Bureau was 12647, with a shortfall of 7516 and a shortfall of nearly 50%.


Two, lack of talent and insufficient reserves.

Four, the lack of public platform across the footwear industry.


According to the survey of 36 small and medium-sized shoe enterprises of different sizes in Wenzhou, 30.3% of small and medium shoe enterprises believe that financial institutions have severe loan conditions, which are 3.13 percentage points higher than that of large enterprises.

The central bank's support for small and medium-sized shoe enterprises credit policy orientation is facing the obstacles of state-owned commercial banks' own business strategy in the conduction process.


Because there are differences between urban and rural household registration system, employment system, social security system, education and training system, most of the foreign shoe enterprises are non housing households, and children can not study in cities as a reality.

According to the survey results of 1806 foreign talents in the urban area, the number of foreign talents without housing accounts for 93%.

According to the National Bureau of statistics, housing prices in Wenzhou are higher than those in Zhejiang. The purchase of 90 square meters of housing requires nearly 16 years of family income.

At the same time, the cost of living in Wenzhou is high, the land in Wenzhou is expensive, and the serious supply is insufficient, which hinders the expansion of Wenzhou shoe industry.


Five, the lack of listed companies, squeezed by listed shoe companies.


Wenzhou shoe enterprises do not have a listed company so far. Compared with other regions, the capital operation of Wenzhou shoe enterprises is long and tortuous.

At present, there are many direct or indirect industry competitors in Wenzhou footwear industry, such as BELLE, 31st degree, XTEP, Lining, double star, Anta, wild power, trend, Daphne and so on. They have squeezed the market space of Wenzhou shoe brand with capital advantage, and weakened the brand, such as cost, scale production, industry chain, supply chain, logistics, channel, quality, adaptability and core competitiveness, which Wenzhou shoes industry once owned, and mercilessly robbed the market of Wenzhou shoe brand for many years.


Six, foreign trade to domestic sales, competition intensified


At present, there are about 950 footwear export enterprises in Wenzhou. As a result of rising raw materials, appreciation of the renminbi, export tax rebate rate adjustment, and the European Union levying anti-dumping duties on leather shoes at various stages, many reasons have led to a sharp rise in the export costs of enterprises. The number of Wenzhou shoe exports has decreased from 23 million 60 thousand pairs in 2006 to 11 million pairs in 2009.

Because Wenzhou shoes, which have always been cheap and galloping in the international market, have been strongly blocked. Many of the shoe companies that formerly focused on foreign trade have been keeping an eye on the domestic market. They have shown their brands that are not strong enough to influence their brands, lower prices and pour into the domestic market. They will directly attack the three or four line brands at the bottom of the market, but the disaster will not stop there. The consequent Domino effect will lead to a prolonged competition.
