In order to adapt to the rapid development of China's functional clothing industry, the national garment Standardization Technical Committee has done a lot of market research work, and it is necessary to build a functional clothing standard system and make amendments to the relevant functional clothing standards.

In view of the more mature functional clothing market, the technical bid committee has gradually intensified the standard revision and regulation, and standardized the functional clothing market in China.


The standard revision work has made great progress. A number of important functional clothing standards have been completed and project declaration has been completed. The product standards include GB/T21980-2008 "general technical specifications for professional sportswear and protective products", GB /T24278-2009 motorcycle driver's protective clothing, GB/T23316-2009's requirements for static electricity resistance and test methods, etc. The method standards include GB/T22042-2008 "test method for surface resistance of clothing antistatic properties", GB/T22043-2008 "test method for resistance of clothing against static electricity through material resistance (vertical resistance)", and testing method of shielding electromagnetic radiation efficiency (item number: 20080845-T-608), etc., initially establishing the rudiment of China's functional clothing standard system, providing strong technical support for the smooth upgrading of China's functional clothing industry. Since 2009, the national garment Standardization Technical Committee has been committed to broadening the coverage of functional clothing standards, steadily improving the standard of functional clothing standards, and gradually improving the standard system of functional clothing in China.

Through the combination of product standards and method standards, China's comprehensive functional clothing standard system will be built in an all-round way to continuously enrich our country's functional clothing standards, and provide uniform standards and norms for the new functional clothing industry.
