One Day Sales "Not Less Than 35000 Yuan"! Before The Festival, Jimo Clothing Market Was "Sold Out"

At present, Jimo clothing market has entered the busiest season.

Ms. Zeng, 36, is the owner of a clothing store in the women's wear area of the market. Since the middle of December 2024, she has left home almost every morning at 7 o'clock to rush to the store. The same is true for January 2, 2025. On the same day, Ms. Zeng's store sold 35000 yuan of clothing nationwide. Obviously, Ms. Zeng's high sales volume is not an exception among more than 6000 merchants in the entire clothing market. Mr. Bai, who mainly deals with Japanese and Korean orders and local orders, also sold more than 20000 yuan that day.

Before the Lunar New Year, the clothing market was crowded with people, and many logistics companies were also busy. In December alone, the logistics throughput reached 200000 tons, accounting for 20% of the annual total.

January 2, the first day after the New Year holiday. Ms. Zeng, the owner of a women's clothing store in Jimo Clothing Market, asked her family to send her children to school. She left at 7 o'clock and hurried to the store. Driving through several roads from Jimo urban area, it was exactly 7:20 when we arrived at the market building. When she arrived at the women's clothing store on the first floor, a waiter had come to the store, opened the door, received customers from all over the world, and cleaned the floor at the same time.

When Ms. Zeng arrived at the store five minutes later, another female clerk also arrived at the store, which was 7:30. One store manager and two clerks were all in place, and the three started working all day.

The shop assistant was busy unpacking a large package of new clothes sent from Shanghai at the beginning of the afternoon.

"This package weighs more than 90 jin, and there are 50 pieces of clothes inside," Xiao told the Peninsula All Media.

Xiao Zhang, a shop assistant nearby, was busy packing 15 clothes according to the requirements of a clothing store customer in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province.

"These 15 pieces of clothes will be sent to Hebei this morning," she said to reporters, while packing another 12 pieces of women's clothes to a clothing store in Dalian, Liaoning Province.

On the other side, after dismantling the large package of clothing from Shanghai, Xiao began to pack. The smaller one said while packing, "This package is sent to Lanzhou, Gansu Province. It's 10 small cotton padded jackets and 10 pairs of jeans, Korean style."

While the two clerks were busy packing, Ms. Zeng was busy receiving customers who came to the store for fitting and buying clothes.

One morning, according to the order in the afternoon of New Year's Day, the clothing store packed a total of 12. The total value of these 12 packages is about 13000 yuan.

"In the afternoon, the orders in the morning will be packed and sent to other places." Ms. Zeng said, "According to the order volume since the middle of December (2024), the orders in the afternoon may not be less than the packing volume this morning."

"All day packing orders sent to other places plus store retail, not less than 35000 yuan," Ms. Zeng said.

In a children's clothing store on the second floor, the owner, Mr. Bai, was also busy packing and receiving guests with his wife and two clerks. Unlike Ms. Zeng downstairs, Mr. Bai sells clothes from two local factory stores in Jimo.

"The factory stores are cheap and have stable quality, some are Japanese and Korean style, some are local style." Mr. Bai said, especially after the middle of December, the orders sent to Hebei, Henan, Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Northeast provinces increased. Customers in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, like orders from Japan and South Korea, while customers in the three northeastern provinces like large cotton padded clothes and cotton hats made in Qingdao.

In the morning, after Mr. Bai's wife and clerk finished typing 9 parcels, a courier in the market arrived at his shop and carried them away in a car.

"These packages will be delivered to customers everywhere tomorrow afternoon," said Mr. Bai.

In a men's clothing area on the north side of the second floor, Mr. Xu, the shopkeeper, was busy with his wife to pack winter clothes and prepare to send them to the three northeastern provinces.

"The daily delivery volume ranges from 10000 to 20000 yuan. With the retail volume, the daily income is about 25000 yuan." Mr. Xu said that compared with more than 20 days ago, the annual delivery volume has obviously increased.

In addition to sending orders to the province, some shopkeepers have also received numerous orders in the province.

Ms. Gao, the owner of the shop on the first floor, sent seven orders to Jinan, Dezhou, Rizhao, Yantai and Tai'an in the morning. The total value of the seven orders was about 16000 yuan. A children's clothing store on the second floor sent winter clothes, children's cotton shoes and winter hats to Linyi, Binzhou, Yantai and other places.

"I've been very busy these days, and now it's the peak sales season." The shopkeeper said that this craze will continue for about half a month. With the festival coming, consumers' demand for new clothes has surged, while the clothing industry in Jimo clothing market will not be absent, and orders from all directions have come.

While the merchants were busy packing and delivering goods to various places, the small side of the freight forwarder who was driving a small flat electric vehicle between the stores was not idle.

"I am an employee of a logistics company on the west side of the clothing market." Xiao Bian told reporters that he has worked in this logistics company for two years. Their main transportation places are Yantai, Rizhao, Weihai and Jinan. At present, he orders no more than 200 pieces every day.

"A few days before New Year's Day, I was so busy that I didn't have time to eat a whole meal at noon." He said, "I was having dinner here, and the merchant there called me to pick up a piece of food. Sometimes I would take a few mouthfuls and hurry to pick up the goods."

On the market square, dozens of logistics transport vehicles from Yantai, Weihai and Rizhao are packing some orders to the destination. A driver who was loading said that he was responsible for the logistics transportation of Yantai line, and the daily freight volume was about 200 bags in the past 20 days.

"This is the medium-sized truck," he said, pointing at it. "It will be delivered to the destination in the afternoon. At six o'clock in the morning, it will return to the clothing market from Yantai every 24 hours."

In the logistics center of Jimo Mall, dozens of large logistics transport vehicles crisscross the roads here, and the roar of motors echoes here.

A logistics truck from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, transported clothes from the local processing plant, and five or six staff members were unloading the truck under the command of a female boss.

"There are 278 tons of clothes in the whole vehicle," said the female boss, who said that these goods were purchased by many businesses in the market.

On the other side of this large logistics vehicle, in front of a logistics vehicle with Shanxi license plate, three logistics personnel are loading the vehicle with a forklift.

"The full clothes will arrive in Taiyuan tomorrow afternoon," the driver told reporters.
