The Standard Is Coming! "Community Hygiene Mask" Group Standard War And "Epidemic"

In March 11th, the national standard of sanitary masks was officially issued by the China Industrial Textiles Association. The standard is jointly managed by the China Textile Industry Federation Standardization Technical Committee and the China Textile Industry Association Standardization Technical Committee. The promulgation and implementation of the standards will provide technical support for relevant mask manufacturers and provide basis for market supervision so that consumers can choose suitable respirators.

Why do we need to make "sanitary masks"?

During the epidemic period, the demand for respirators increased dramatically, and there were a series of new problems, such as the confusion of civil masks, the difficulty of market supervision, and the inability of consumers to distinguish.

At present, there are no specific regulations on children's masks in the national standard of masks. What kind of masks should children choose during the epidemic period has become the focus of society.

Existing mask standards

Standard for civil protective respirators: GB/T 32610 - 2016, technical specification for daily protective masks, GB 2626 - 2006 respirator and respirator, which is mainly used for particulate matter protection, has played an important role in this outbreak. However, the barrier mask (flat respirator) is widely used in the resumption of production, which can not meet the above two standard requirements.

Medical standard: GB 19083 - 2010, "medical respirator technical requirements", YY 0469 - 2011 "medical surgical mask", YY/T 0969 - 2013 disposable medical mask, mainly applicable to the medical field.

Preparatory stage

The demand for masks is rising and standards are facing new problems.

In order to meet the needs of people in the epidemic situation, the collection of masked enterprises, and to ensure product quality and market supervision, the China Textile Industry Association put forward an application to draft the group standard for hygienic mask.

Standard drafting stage

The plan was issued in February 25th. The China Industrial Textiles Association set up a standard drafting group. On the basis of previous industry research, benchmarking and key discussion were carried out, the framework was established, the standards were formulated, and the standard name was changed to "civilian sanitary mask" according to the applicability of the standard.

The standard draft was completed in February 28th.

Committee stage

In March 4th, the standards completed the solicitation of draft social opinions, and received 103 opinions, of which 34 were adopted and 23 were adopted. The drafting group further perfected the standards, and formed the draft and the compilation instructions.

Standard approval phase

The China Textile Federation and the middle-level Association bid committee respectively conduct a written examination of the standard manuscript, and the drafting group, based on the opinions of the written examination, once again perfected the standard text and compiling instructions to form a draft for approval.

Standard release

In March 11th, T/CNTAC 55 - 2020, T/CNITA 09104 - 2020 issued the standard of "civilian sanitary mask".

Usage scenario of "sanitary respirator"

This standard is applicable to the sanitary respirators used by ordinary people in daily environment to block the spread of droplets, pollen and microbes.

This standard sets a set of indicators around the functions and safety requirements of masks, including materials and safety, the necessary barrier function, and special attention to wearing comfort.

Main contents of "sanitary respirator"

The 13 criterion is the performance of masks.

It is suitable for wearer and re study and can effectively block the spread of particles such as droplets, pollen and microorganism.

They are divided into adult respirators and child masks. The sizes are large (L) medium (M) trumpet (S).

The safety and materials should be clear. There should be no sharp sharp and sharp edges that can be touched. Children's masks should be provided with ear hanging masks and no removable parts. Children's masks should not have free ends. The raw materials of masks should not be recycled.

The efficiency of bacteria filtration is less than 95% and the filtration efficiency of particulate matter is not less than 90%.

The respirator resistance of adult respirator is set to be less than 49Pa, and the respirator resistance of children is less than 30Pa.

And the requirements of ethylene oxide residue, dry rubbing fastness, formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dye, microbial indicators, flame retardancy and other indicators were clearly specified.

Children mask requires:

The drafting unit covers the whole industry chain of mask research and development, production, materials, testing and management. The expert team comes from trade associations, masks manufacturing enterprises, materials manufacturing enterprises, medical device use units, research institutes and testing units.
