The New Round Of Sino US Economic And Trade Consultation Ends In Washington. US President Trump Meets With Liu He

On from October 10th to 11th, members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, vice premier of the State Council, and Liu He, the Chinese leader of the Sino US comprehensive economic dialogue, held a new round of Sino US economic and trade consultations with Washington, US trade representative lettlet and finance minister Mnuchin in Washington. Under the guidance of the important consensus of the two heads of state, the two sides held a frank, efficient and constructive discussion on the economic and trade issues of common concern. US President Trump meets with Liu He

Liu He first conveyed the message from President Xi Jinping, President Aozhi Trump. Xi Jinping pointed out in his message that the Sino US economic and trade consultations team has recently maintained communication and released goodwill, which is welcomed by the two peoples and the international community. The economic and trade teams of the two countries have made progress in the negotiation of some agreements. The two sides should properly resolve each other's concerns and strive for positive progress in other areas. Maintaining healthy and stable development of Sino US relations is beneficial to both countries. The two sides must adhere to the keynote of coordination, cooperation and stability, control differences on the basis of mutual respect, expand cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, and push forward bilateral relations in the right track.


Liu He said that in this round of consultations, the two sides held frank, efficient and constructive discussions on the economic and trade issues of common concern, and made substantial progress in the fields of agriculture, intellectual property protection, exchange rate, financial services, expanding trade cooperation, technology transfer and dispute settlement, and discussed the follow-up consultations. Handling Sino US economic and trade relations is beneficial to China, to the United States, and to world peace and prosperity. It is hoped that the two sides will work together to resolve each other's concerns on the basis of equality and mutual respect in accordance with the principles and directions determined by the two heads of state, and promote healthy and stable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.


Trump thanked President Xi Jinping for his message, once again congratulated People's Republic of China on the establishment of 70th anniversary, and asked Liu He to convey his cordial greetings to President Xi Jinping. Trump said the development of relations between the two countries is strong. I respect China very much and respect President Xi Jinping very much. He is a great leader. I am glad to see that the Sino US economic and trade consultations have achieved substantive first stage results, which is a great benefit to the United States, China and the world. It is hoped that the two sides will work hard to make sure the text of the first phase of the agreement as early as possible and continue to promote subsequent consultations.
