The two companies have been registered in Canada, marking a solid step towards the entry of Wenzhou's pet food into the North American market.

So far, 16 pet food enterprises in Wenzhou have been officially registered in 6 countries and regions, including the United States, the European Union, Israel and Russia.

Hearing the news, Zhu Zhaozheng, general manager of Pingyang Lele Pet Products Co., Ltd., said happily, "the pet food market in Canada is huge, and we have been dreaming of entering the Canadian market. However, CFIA has strict requirements on the imported pet food technology standards and specifications. All of these can be successfully registered through the official registration. It is entirely up to the Wenzhou inspection and Quarantine Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the Wenzhou Bureau)."

Especially in recent years, the local government has rectify the heavy leather industry, resulting in a substantial reduction in the leather industry, and the rapid development of pet food and gelatin industry.

However, as a pet food for leather, the state has strict quarantine regulations, and the domestic raw material market can not meet the growing demand for development.

To this end, the Wenzhou bureau took the initiative to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Pingyang county government, which is relatively concentrated in the pet food industry. It helped 4 enterprises in the industry jointly set up a raw material processing base in accordance with the requirements of the European Union, helping Pingyang Jinheng pet products company apply for the qualification of imported raw material skins, and helping Wenzhou Patti Pet Products Co., Ltd. jointly maintain and manage the industry in accordance with the technology currently being first carried out, so as to promote the sustained development of the industry.

Once the raw material problem has been solved, it will be like a long drought, and the pet food industry will be revitalized. All enterprises will be able to make full scale production.

Actively guide and push forward steadily

The export of pet food industry in Wenzhou has been tested continuously since the 2007 quality crisis. It has made the Wenzhou Bureau and the industry fully prepared for the crisis and has a more rational thinking and mature mentality than other industries.

In view of the present situation that all the dog bite products are produced in accordance with foreign standards and there is no national standard in China, Wenzhou Bureau has co operated with the leading enterprises in the industry, and co drafted the national standard of "pet food dog bite glue" (GB/T23185-2008), filling the blank in China, laying the foundation for the industry to standardize the domestic market and further deepen the international market.

The prepared industry will have the chance to break through from the crisis.

At present, the pet food industry, under the guidance of Wenzhou Bureau, has comprehensively upgraded the product quality grade, distinguished the market level, and produced a satisfactory "report card" while launching its own brand. In the first 10 months of this year, Wenzhou exported a total of 2950 batches of pet food, 19 thousand and 700 tons and 92 million 600 thousand dollars in value.

At present, the value of its exports exceeds US $20 million, and the order has been discharged into next year.
