According to statistics, the national ring spinning frame has reached 110 million ingots, and it increased by about 52000000 spindles in 8 years from 2001~2008 years ago, exceeding the sum of previous decades.
This extensive mode of development has caused many problems such as insufficient supply of raw materials, excessive energy consumption and so on.
In 2009, the statistics were as follows: Cotton ingot 110 million spindles, including compact spinning 4 million 430 thousand spindles, rotor spun 2 million 193 thousand and 500 heads, and air-jet vortex spinning 59 thousand.

At present, some cotton spinning enterprises have a higher profit rate. For example, in 2008, the occupancy rates of international blowing carding machines, automatic winding machines and shuttleless looms were 60%, 95% and 80%~100% respectively, far higher than the 42%, 53% and 42% occupancy rates in China.
Advanced textile equipment and efficient management have made the European cotton spinning spindles less than 30 people, while China has an average of 150 people.
Therefore, the cotton textile industry urgently needs to adjust and optimize the structure to achieve industrial upgrading.
The research and development direction of new products for cotton spinning enterprises is to make use of new and multi fiber production.
